Drone Strike in Romania: Two People Injured in Galați
A dangerous incident occurred in the Romanian city of Galați on Friday night. A drone of unknown origin crashed into a residential building, causing great unrest among residents. According to official reports, two people were slightly injured in the impact.
Emergency services were quickly on the scene to treat the injured and secure the building. Fortunately, the injuries are not life-threatening, but the shock in the neighborhood is deep. In addition to the personal injuries, significant property damage was caused to the residential building, particularly to the facade and windows.
So far, it is completely unclear where the drone came from or who was controlling it. Romanian authorities have immediately launched an investigation to analyze the debris and determine the origin of the aircraft. Galați is located in the east of the country, near the border with Ukraine, which makes the situation particularly sensitive.
In the past, there have been similar incidents in Romanian border regions where drone debris was found on national territory. The government in Bucharest is therefore monitoring developments in the airspace very closely. The safety of the civilian population is now the top priority for local authorities.
The incident has sparked a new debate about security in the border regions of Eastern Europe. While investigations continue, many citizens are calling for more protection and better monitoring of the airspace to prevent such accidents in the future.
