Chinese car manufacturer Chery plans market entry in Germany
The Chinese automotive group Chery is preparing for the German market. As the company recently announced, the official sales launch for the brand's vehicles in Germany is scheduled for the first half of 2027.
To implement this project, Chery is currently establishing its own German subsidiary. Raunheim in Hesse has been chosen as the location for the new headquarters. From there, the expansion into the German automotive market will be managed.
With this step, Chery is following other Chinese manufacturers that have already strengthened their presence in Europe in recent years. The German market is considered particularly demanding, but offers great opportunities for new providers due to the growing demand for electric vehicles.
The establishment in Raunheim underscores the company's long-term plans to firmly anchor itself in the German automotive industry. In the coming months, it is expected that Chery will announce further details regarding the planned vehicle models and the sales strategy.
