Digital help for neurodermatitis: Nia Health and AbbVie announce partnership
The Berlin-based company Nia Health has announced a new partnership with the pharmaceutical company AbbVie Germany. The goal of the cooperation is to further improve care for patients with neurodermatitis through the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
Nia Health is a spin-off from Berlin's Charité hospital and has already developed the most frequently used app in Germany for people with neurodermatitis. The application supports those affected in documenting their skin condition and better understanding triggers for flare-ups.
Through the collaboration with AbbVie, the digital platform is now set to be further expanded. The companies intend to jointly develop new features that assist patients in their daily lives and facilitate communication between doctor and patient. AI plays a central role in providing individual recommendations for skin care.
