Ukrainians who arrived after April 2025 lose citizen’s income
Ukrainians who arrived in Germany after 1 April 2025 will no longer receive citizen's income (Bürgergeld). Instead, they fall under the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act, which pays on average around €120 less per month.
Those who registered earlier and are already receiving citizen's income are not affected by this change.
