Extreme sports in Germany: Adrian Pulver wins the "Race Across Germany"
An impressive sporting achievement has moved Germany in recent days: cyclist Adrian Pulver has won this year's "Race Across Germany." In this extreme cycling race, participants must cover a total distance of 1,100 kilometers.
The race route is a true challenge for body and mind. The athletes started in the far north in Flensburg on the Baltic Sea and rode to the south to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria. In doing so, the cyclists had to not only master the long distance but also overcome a total of 7,500 meters in altitude.
The "Race Across Germany" is considered one of the most demanding long-distance races in the country. Participants are often on their bikes day and night to reach their goal. Pulver was able to prevail against the competition and was the first to reach the finish line at the foot of the Alps.
In addition to this success, there were other sporting highlights in Germany over the weekend, such as Siffert's victory at the triathlon in Roth. Such events demonstrate the great enthusiasm for endurance sports among the German population and attract numerous athletes from all over the world every year.
