Transfer rumors: Premier League clubs show interest in Gladbach professional Joe Scally
US full-back Joe Scally is currently the focus of international transfer discussions. As current media reports suggest, English clubs Fulham FC and AFC Bournemouth have shown concrete interest in signing the 21-year-old, who is currently under contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Scally has been playing for the Bundesliga club since 2021 and has developed into an integral part of the team during this time. His versatility in defense and his attacking drive have made him an important player for Gladbach. So far, however, the club has not yet issued an official statement regarding the transfer rumors.
For Borussia Mönchengladbach, the question now arises as to whether they want to let the young defender go or whether he will continue to play a central role in their plans for the coming season. A move to the English Premier League is considered an attractive step for many professionals, as the league is viewed internationally as particularly competitive and financially lucrative.
Whether official negotiations between the clubs will actually take place in the coming weeks remains to be seen. Borussia fans will be watching the situation closely, as the departure of the US international would leave a gap in the Bundesliga club's defensive line.
