Maserati Plans Return to GT4 Racing from 2028
The Italian car manufacturer Maserati has big plans for the future of motorsport. At the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed in England, the company presented its new "Project GT4." With this, Maserati aims to officially participate in international car races again starting in 2028.
The GT4 series is a globally popular racing class for sports cars that are technically close to standard road models. Many well-known brands such as Porsche, BMW, or Mercedes are already successfully represented in this class. Maserati now wants to enter this competition with a specially developed model and compete against the strong opposition.
For fans in Germany, this news is particularly exciting. Germany has a long tradition in GT racing and, with series such as "ADAC GT4 Germany," offers an important platform for these vehicles. When Maserati returns in 2028, the new racing cars could also be seen on famous German tracks such as the Nürburgring or the Hockenheimring.
Although the start is only planned in a few years, the announcement is already attracting a lot of attention in the automotive world. With the new project, Maserati is showing that the brand wants to place a greater focus on sportiness and its historic racing tradition once again. Motorsport enthusiasts will therefore have to be a little patient until they can experience the new Maserati on the track.
