Increased traffic on the roads of Athens today
Drivers moving along the central roads of Athens are facing significant problems today. Traffic has been particularly heavy since the early morning hours, causing delays in citizens' commutes.
According to the latest reports, there is heavy traffic congestion on Schistou – Athinon Avenue, heading towards Skaramagas. Drivers choosing this route should be particularly careful and patient.
At the same time, problems are also being identified on the coastal road. Specifically, traffic is increased in the stream towards Piraeus, along the Neo Faliro area, which is making access to the port difficult.
Authorities recommend that drivers check the road conditions before starting their journey. Using alternative routes, where possible, may help avoid the longest delays throughout the day.
