Serious traffic problems on the roads of Athens
Drivers moving along the road axes of Attica are facing significant delays today. Traffic on the roads is particularly heavy, causing inconvenience to those trying to travel to the center of the capital.
The biggest problem is located on the inbound lanes of the Athens-Corinth National Road, as well as on Athinon Avenue. Drivers coming from the Elefsina area remain stationary for quite some time, as the flow of vehicles is very slow.
The competent authorities advise citizens to show patience and to be particularly careful while driving. The increased traffic is due, according to initial indications, to the large number of vehicles circulating during the morning rush hours.
The Traffic Police are on the roads to regulate traffic and help decongest the areas where the biggest problem is observed. Drivers are advised to check the traffic situation before starting their journey, so that they can choose alternative routes if possible.
