German company STARK begins production of defense drones in Thessaloniki
A significant investment in the defense technology sector was recently announced for Greece. The German company STARK, which specializes in the development of advanced systems, has decided to expand its operations in our country, choosing Thessaloniki as the base for its new facilities.
The company is set to create a modern research and development center, while simultaneously launching a production line for unmanned aerial vehicles, known as drones. This move is part of the company's strategy to strengthen its presence in the European defense systems market.
The choice of Thessaloniki is considered particularly significant, as the city has emerged in recent years as a strong hub for technology and innovation. The presence of STARK is expected to provide new job opportunities for specialized personnel, such as engineers and technicians, boosting the local economy.
The production of defense drones is a rapidly growing sector worldwide, as the demand for such systems is constantly increasing. With this investment, Greece gains a central role in the high-tech production chain, while simultaneously strengthening its relations with major European companies in the industry.
The commencement of operations in Thessaloniki is expected to begin soon, with the local community and the business community welcoming this development. The coming months will show how the production schedule will take shape and what the impact of the investment will be on the country's technological map.
