New Hellenic Police plan for security in the center of Athens
The Hellenic Police (EL.AS.) has announced the implementation of a new operational plan aimed at combating petty crime in the center of Athens. The authorities' goal is to strengthen the sense of security for the capital's residents, workers, and visitors.
The plan includes detailed mapping of areas where delinquent behavior is most frequently observed. Based on this data, the police will deploy flexible patrol teams that will be able to intervene immediately wherever there is a need.
Furthermore, the Hellenic Police is integrating modern technology into its daily operations. The use of drones will allow for better aerial surveillance of difficult locations, offering officers a more comprehensive picture of the situation in real time.
The competent authorities emphasize that this new plan is dynamic and will be adjusted according to developments and the needs of each neighborhood. This effort is part of a broader strategy to upgrade the quality of life in the city center.
