Fishermen's protests escalate across Greece

As part of their protests, fishermen in Nea Michaniona blocked trucks transporting fish from Turkey. Through this action, the demonstrators aim to highlight the problems they face due to competition from imports, which they claim negatively affect the prices and the availability of their own products in the market.
Fishermen point out that the increased operating costs of their vessels, combined with climate change and the depletion of fish stocks, make their survival particularly difficult. Representatives of the fishing associations emphasize that the protests will continue until there is a dialogue with the relevant Ministry and concrete solutions are provided for their demands.
