Turkey's diplomatic moves in the region: The approach towards Egypt
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan recently paid a visit to Egypt, as part of a broader effort by Ankara to strengthen its diplomatic relations in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East region.
According to reports, Mr. Fidan is seeking to draw Egypt into a new alliance, in which Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan are already participating. This move is viewed by analysts as an attempt by the Turkish side to reshape the balance of power in the wider region.
At the same time, the Turkish minister criticized the trilateral partnerships that Greece has developed with Cyprus and Israel. Ankara appears concerned about these alliances, which strengthen cooperation between the three countries on energy and security issues.
These developments are being closely monitored by Greek diplomacy, as Turkey's moves directly affect geopolitical balances. Egypt's stance toward Ankara's proposals remains a critical issue for stability in the region.
