Ministry of Health announces new committee for longevity medicine
The Greek Ministry of Health has announced the creation of a special committee, which will begin its operations within the current week. The committee's goal is to draft a new regulatory framework concerning longevity medicine and regenerative medicine services in the country.
This decision comes at a time when treatments that promise to slow down aging are gaining increasing popularity. The Ministry seeks to establish clear rules for patient safety and the quality of services provided in this specific sector.
At the same time, during his announcements, the Minister of Health also referred to a personal matter, publicly apologizing to the family of the well-known artist Giorgos Mazonakis. This gesture was made as part of the Ministry's effort to maintain a relationship of trust with the citizens.
Details regarding the composition of the committee and the next steps are expected to be officially announced in the coming days. Experts estimate that the regulation of this sector is necessary, as the demand for specialized medical services is constantly increasing in Greece.
