Kyriakos Mitsotakis' tour of Northern Greece concludes
The two-day visit of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Northern Greece concludes today, Friday. This tour is taking place just a few days before his customary appearance at the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF).
During his visit, the Prime Minister had the opportunity to inspect significant infrastructure projects currently underway in the region. Yesterday, Thursday, Mr. Mitsotakis delivered the extension of a major road axis, highlighting the importance of infrastructure for the development of Macedonia.
The Prime Minister's agenda includes meetings with local stakeholders, representatives of local government, and productive sectors of Thessaloniki. The goal of these contacts is to record the needs of the region and prepare the announcements that will be presented from the podium of the TIF this coming September.
The Prime Minister's presence in Northern Greece traditionally serves as a "prelude" to government announcements regarding next year's economic policy. Citizens are awaiting his statements on issues concerning the cost of living and investments with interest.
With the conclusion of today, Kyriakos Mitsotakis returns to Athens, where he will continue preparations for his speech in Thessaloniki. Every year, the TIF serves as the central political event of the autumn for the country.
