Greece Race for the Cure® returns for its 18th year
The established athletic and social event, Greece Race for the Cure®, has announced its return for the 18th consecutive year. The event, which is dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer and supporting patients, will take place on the weekend of October 3 and 4, 2026.
As every year, Pedion tou Areos in Athens will serve as the central starting point for participants. The event aims to unite thousands of citizens, who, through running or walking, send a powerful message of hope and solidarity to all women fighting their own battle with the disease.
Registration for this year's event is already open, giving interested individuals the opportunity to sign up in time. The organizers invite the public to support the effort, as the proceeds from registrations significantly bolster the work of organizations that provide assistance to patients and their families.
Participation in the Greece Race for the Cure® is an important opportunity to raise awareness in Greek society regarding the importance of prevention. The event remains one of the largest in the country, combining sports with a social cause and a contribution to fellow human beings.
