Preparations for the Greek Presidency of the European Union in Strasbourg
Greece has officially begun preparations for assuming the presidency of the Council of the European Union. In this context, Member of Parliament Tasos Chatzivasileiou held important meetings in Strasbourg, aimed at better coordinating our country's next steps.
The talks focused on the continuation of close cooperation with the European Parliament. This cooperation is considered essential for the success of the Greek presidency, as it allows for the proper planning of the issues to be discussed at the European level.
Assuming the presidency is a great responsibility but also a significant opportunity for Greece. During this period, our country will have the opportunity to lead discussions on critical issues, such as economic growth, security, and environmental protection in Europe.
Preparations are expected to intensify in the coming months with more contacts and working meetings. The Greek side's goal is an effective presidency that will strengthen Greece's role as a stable and active member of the European family.
