Repatriation operation of Greek passenger from cruise ship due to virus
Greek authorities are in the process of organizing a special operation for the repatriation of a Greek citizen. The passenger in question was on board the cruise ship "MV Hondius," which was at sea.
According to initial reports, the Greek citizen developed symptoms related to the "hantavirus" during the cruise. This virus is typically transmitted by rodents and can cause serious health problems in humans, which put the authorities on alert.
It was deemed necessary for the passenger's health condition to be addressed with specialized medical care. For this reason, coordination between the relevant agencies began immediately for his safe transport back to Greece, in order for him to receive appropriate hospital treatment.
Authorities are closely monitoring the patient's health progress, while all necessary protective measures are being taken to prevent further spread of the virus. The operation is expected to be completed in the coming hours, with the citizen's arrival on Greek soil.
