“Greece Race for the Cure” returns to Athens for breast cancer prevention
Athens is preparing to once again welcome the major “Greece Race for the Cure” event, which has now become an institution for raising awareness about breast cancer. This year, the event will take place on October 3rd and 4th, inviting thousands of citizens to participate in a movement of solidarity and information.
For the first time in the race's history, the meeting point for participants will be Pedion tou Areos. This change is expected to give a new dynamic to the event, as Athens' central park will be filled with people wishing to support women who are fighting their own battle with the disease.
The main goal of the race remains spreading the message that prevention saves lives. Through their participation, citizens strengthen the effort for early diagnosis and awareness, while at the same time honoring the memory of those who are no longer with us, sending a resounding message of hope and strength to the entire society.
This event is an important opportunity for the residents of Athens to show their social sensitivity. With every step taken at Pedion tou Areos, participants actively contribute to the effort for a world where breast cancer will be treated with success and timely care.
