“Greece Race for the Cure” returns in October 2026
One of the country's most significant athletic and social events, the “Greece Race for the Cure,” has announced its return. The event will take place for the 18th consecutive year, continuing the effort to raise awareness about breast cancer.
The events are scheduled for the weekend of October 3 and 4, 2026. It is a race that brings together thousands of citizens every year, who run or walk to support women fighting their own battle with the disease.
As announced by the organizers, the center of the action will be the Pedion tou Areos in Athens. Both the start and finish lines of the route will be located there, transforming the space into a meeting point for solidarity and sports.
Participation in the race is an opportunity for citizens to show their support and strengthen the work of the associations that assist patients. Further details regarding registration and the schedule are expected to be announced in the near future.
