New orange warning from the HNMS: Severe storms are coming to Greece
The Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS) has issued a new orange warning for deteriorating weather conditions in our country. According to the latest forecasts, a new wave of bad weather is expected to affect several regions within the next few hours.
The most severe phenomena, such as storms and heavy rainfall, are predicted to occur on Sunday. Meteorologists are focusing their attention primarily on Evia, where the situation is expected to be the most difficult.
In addition, intense weather phenomena will occur temporarily in eastern Thessaly and the Sporades. Residents in these areas are urged to be particularly careful when traveling and to follow the instructions of the authorities.
The competent services are closely monitoring the development of the phenomena, as the weather map is constantly changing. Civil Protection is on standby to deal with any problems that may be caused by the heavy rainfall.
Citizens are advised to stay regularly informed via weather reports and to avoid unnecessary travel during the severe storms.
