Dendias takes aim at Turkey over International Law
The Greek Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, made statements regarding the challenges currently facing the international community. Mr. Dendias emphasized that International Law constitutes the necessary foundation for the peaceful resolution of disputes between states.
During his speech, the Minister criticized Ankara, arguing that certain countries are attempting to change the rules of International Law through authoritarian methods. According to him, such practices undermine global stability and security in the wider region.
Mr. Dendias described our era as "dystopian," pointing out that the values of the civilized world are being tested daily. He underlined that Greece remains committed to the respect of international treaties and the law of the sea, rejecting any attempt to impose faits accomplis.
This position comes at a time when Greek-Turkish relations remain at the center of political current affairs. The Greek side continues to defend the need for dialogue based exclusively on the rules of international legality.
