New international postgraduate program at the University of Ioannina
The Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Sofia Zacharaki, recently visited the University of Ioannina to announce the creation of a new international postgraduate program. The program is titled "One Health Education for Global Sustainability" and represents a significant initiative for higher education in our country.
This specific master's degree focuses on the concept of "One Health," which links the health of humans, animals, and the environment. The goal of the program is to provide students with the necessary knowledge to address modern global challenges, such as climate change and sustainable development.
During her visit, Ms. Zacharaki emphasized that Greece is systematically investing in public universities. The government's goal is for Greek institutions to become more outward-looking and innovative, and to attract students from all over the world, thereby strengthening their international character.
The establishment of this postgraduate program in Ioannina is a positive step for the upgrading of academic education in Greece. Through the collaboration of international organizations and an emphasis on research, the University of Ioannina aims to play a leading role in the scientific community for years to come.
