Nikos Androulakis: The goal is political change and the strengthening of the welfare state
The president of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, delivered a speech within the framework of the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), setting political change in the country as his party's central goal. In his speech, Mr. Androulakis presented his party's key priorities, focusing on issues that directly concern Greek citizens.
At the center of his political agenda were the welfare state, the housing problem, and the management of private debt. The PASOK leader underscored the need for a comprehensive productive reconstruction of the Greek economy, proposing solutions that, as he argued, will support households and young people facing difficulties.
During his presence in Thessaloniki, Mr. Androulakis leveled strong criticism at both Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras. The PASOK president distanced himself from the policies of the two previous governments, seeking to present an autonomous path for his party.
At the same time, Nikos Androuλάkis clarified his stance regarding future political collaborations. He categorically rejected the possibility of cooperating with New Democracy, emphasizing that PASOK is aiming for first place in the elections in order to implement its own program.
This speech constitutes an important step in the party's pre-election strategy, as PASOK attempts to win the trust of voters ahead of the next political contests. Mr. Androulakis' proposals are expected to be the subject of discussion in the public discourse over the coming days.
