New Ronald McDonald House Parent Room at 'Elena Venizelou' Maternity Hospital
An important initiative to support families was recently completed in Athens. The second 'Parent Room' of the Ronald McDonald House Charities organization was inaugurated, located within the 'Elena Venizelou' General and Maternity Hospital.
The main purpose of this project is to offer a welcoming environment to parents whose children are hospitalized. By creating these spaces, families have the opportunity to remain united during the difficult period of their children's treatment.
The new Parent Room provides all the necessary amenities so that parents can rest near their children without needing to leave the hospital premises. This initiative is a continuation of the organization's effort to actively support the Greek family.
With the completion of this structure as well, the organization strengthens its social work in Greece. The presence of two Parent Rooms now in major hospitals of the country demonstrates the importance of cooperation between private entities and the public health system for the benefit of patients and their relatives.
