New Hellenic Police operation against the 'Entik group'
The Hellenic Police have carried out another significant arrest as part of their investigations into the dismantling of criminal organizations, also known as the "Greek mafia." Authorities managed to locate and arrest an individual allegedly linked to the group known as the "Entik group."
The arrested individual is a 49-year-old man who had been sought by authorities for some time. Specifically, an arrest warrant issued in 2025 by the Extortion Division of the Attica Security Directorate was pending against him for his involvement in illegal activities.
According to information from police authorities, the 49-year-old was an active member of this specific criminal group, which is accused of extortion and other serious criminal acts. This arrest is considered another step in the police's efforts to curb the activities of rings that extort shopkeepers and business owners.
The man has already been brought before the competent judicial authorities for the execution of the warrant and the initiation of the prescribed legal process. The Hellenic Police's investigations into the complete dismantling of the group and the identification of other involved persons remain ongoing.
