Greece Race for the Cure® returns: All the details for the 2026 event
The major athletic and social event, Greece Race for the Cure®, returns dynamically for the 18th consecutive year. The race, which is dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer and supporting patients, will take place on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, 2026.
This year's event brings significant changes, most notably the relocation of the starting point. Participants will gather at Pedion tou Areos, which will serve as the central venue for the two-day activities, offering new routes for runners and walkers.
The race has now become an institution in Greece, bringing together thousands of citizens every year. The goal of the event remains to raise public awareness regarding the importance of prevention and early diagnosis, as well as to provide financial support for the initiatives of the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer "Alma Zois."
Those interested can find more information regarding registration and the detailed schedule of the routes on the official event website. Public participation is crucial for the success of the cause and for strengthening the message of hope that the race conveys.
