The French Embassy celebrated Bastille Day in Athens
The French Embassy in Greece organized a special event on Tuesday to celebrate the anniversary of July 14th, known as Bastille Day. The celebration took place at the Byzantine and Christian Museum in Athens, bringing together representatives of the country's political and diplomatic life.
During the event, special emphasis was placed on the close relations maintained by Greece and France. Bastille Day is France's national holiday and symbolizes the values of liberty, equality, and fraternity, which form the foundation of European democracy.
Outgoing French Ambassador Patrick Maisonnave referred to the strategic importance of the cooperation between the two states. In his statements, he underlined that the relations between Athens and Paris have been significantly strengthened in recent years, both on a political and a defense level.
The event at the Byzantine Museum served as an opportunity to reaffirm the strong bonds of friendship that unite the two peoples. The presence of many official guests highlighted the high level of diplomatic communication between the two countries, which continue to work closely together to address modern European challenges.
