Greece ranks 14th in OECD Digital Government Index
Greece has achieved a significant distinction in the field of digital governance, according to recent data from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). For the first time, the country managed to rank above the average of the organization's member states, demonstrating the significant progress made in recent years.
Specifically, Greece ranked 14th among 36 OECD member states. The country's overall score reached 0.71, exceeding the general average. This result reflects efforts to modernize the state and use technology for the benefit of citizens.
According to the Ministry of Digital Governance, Greece stood out in four key dimensions of the index. This success is mainly due to the development of new digital services and the improved organization of public sector data. These changes help reduce bureaucracy and provide faster service to people.
This new ranking represents a significant step for the country, as it proves that investments in technology are bearing fruit. The goal for the future remains the further improvement of digital tools, so that daily life in Greece becomes even simpler and more efficient for everyone.
