Expansion of the MedWatch system: Artificial intelligence in the service of health in Greece
A new artificial intelligence tool, MedWatch, is expanding its operations across the entire Greek territory. The system's goal is to record and analyze data concerning health facilities in our country, offering a more comprehensive picture of the services provided.
To date, MedWatch has managed to record and analyze more than 12,000 health facilities, as well as 37,000 online listings. This technology allows for better organization of information, helping citizens more easily locate the services they need.
At the center of the program's new phase are now dental clinics and physical therapy centers. The inclusion of these specialties on the MedWatch "radar" is expected to enhance transparency and the quality of services provided in the primary healthcare sector.
The use of artificial intelligence in the healthcare industry represents a significant step toward the modernization of the system in Greece. With the continuous collection and processing of data, the relevant authorities can make more informed decisions to improve healthcare for citizens.
