Condolences from the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the deadly floods in Nepal and China
The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep sorrow for the catastrophic floods that recently struck Nepal and China. Through an official social media post, the Greek side sent its message to the governments and citizens of the two countries currently being tested by the natural disaster.
The floods in Nepal and China caused extensive damage to infrastructure and homes, and unfortunately, there were also many losses of human life. Heavy rainfall in recent days led to the overflowing of rivers and landslides, making the situation extremely difficult for local authorities and rescue teams.
In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece emphasizes the country's solidarity with the affected people and the families of the victims. At the same time, it expresses the hope for the rapid restoration of the affected areas and for the mitigation of the consequences of these extreme weather phenomena.
The international community is monitoring the developments in the affected regions with concern, as climate conditions continue to pose a challenge for many countries worldwide. Greece, through its diplomatic channels, declares its readiness to assist, where possible, in the efforts to provide relief to the populations experiencing this difficult situation.
