New maritime technology laboratory in Chios with US support
An important initiative for the education of young people in shipping took place in Chios, with the inauguration of a modern technology laboratory. The event was attended by the US Ambassador to Greece, George Tsunis, who highlighted the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education.
The new laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge technology and aims to provide the island's pupils and students with the necessary skills for the modern maritime market. Chios, as an island with a deep maritime tradition, is the ideal place for the development of such educational infrastructure.
During his visit, the American Ambassador stressed that investment in technology and knowledge is the key to the future of shipping. Students will now have the opportunity to train on simulators and digital systems, preparing them for a successful professional career.
This initiative strengthens the ties between Greece and the US, promoting innovation and development in local communities. The project is expected to contribute decisively to the upgrading of maritime education in the wider Aegean region.
