Thessaloniki Metro: A major project for the daily lives of citizens
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis recently visited the Thessaloniki Metro, emphasizing the importance of the project for the city. In his speech, he stated that the government has achieved its goal, proving that Greece has the capacity to complete major infrastructure projects that improve the lives of its citizens.
The new Metro is expected to radically change transportation in the co-capital. Special mention was made of the extension to Kalamaria, which will significantly facilitate the daily lives of thousands of residents. With the network in operation, citizens will be able to travel faster, safely, and with less traffic on the roads.
Beyond the ease of transportation, this project represents a significant step toward the modernization of Thessaloniki. Upgrading the city's infrastructure is considered essential for economic development and a better quality of life for its residents.
The completion of the Metro is a milestone for the region, as the wait for the project lasted many years. The Prime Minister underlined that the country can take great steps forward when there is proper planning and systematic effort.
