New international postgraduate program at the University of Ioannina
The University of Ioannina has announced the creation of a new international postgraduate program titled "One Health Education for Global Sustainability." This initiative aims to strengthen education regarding public health and sustainable development on a global scale.
The Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Sofia Zacharaki, attended the presentation of the program. During her speech, she emphasized the importance of extroversion for Greek public universities, highlighting that the country is systematically investing in innovative academic actions.
The "One Health" program focuses on the connection between the health of humans, animals, and the environment. It is a modern approach that recognizes that global health depends on the balance across all these levels, preparing students for the challenges of the future.
The establishment of this postgraduate program is part of a broader effort to upgrade higher education in Greece. The goal is to attract students from abroad and create strong partnerships with international academic institutions.
With this move, the University of Ioannina strengthens its position on the international academic map. The initiative is expected to offer new opportunities to students and contribute to the development of research in critical areas for society.
