European Parliament delegation in Greece
A significant visit is being made to Greece these days by a delegation of the European Parliament. The mission of European officials has been in our country since September 21, and its work is expected to conclude on September 23.
Leading the delegation is Ignazio Corrao, who is accompanied by a group of Members of the European Parliament. The purpose of the visit is to hold meetings with representatives of the Greek government, agencies, and organizations in order to discuss current issues concerning the country within the framework of the European Union.
During their stay in Athens, the members of the delegation will have the opportunity to examine closely the progress of various programs and reforms. The discussions are expected to cover topics concerning economic development, the rule of law, and the challenges Greece is facing.
The presence of the European representatives is considered particularly important for maintaining communication between the Greek authorities and European institutions. This visit is part of the regular monitoring and cooperation process that the European Parliament follows with the member states of the European Union.
The meetings will conclude on Friday, and announcements regarding the conclusions of the contacts made are expected to be issued. The Greek side is awaiting with interest the positions of the European officials on the issues that were brought to the discussion table.
