Video of the attack in Heraklion & Honda prices
New evidence regarding an abuse case in Crete is at the center of current events, while government initiatives for the return of professionals from abroad and changes in motorcycle prices have been announced. Additionally, a new framework for the use of technology in state services is being promoted.
New videos revealing the brutality of the attack against a 55-year-old woman in Heraklion have come to light. In the case file material, a 42-year-old woman is seen repeatedly hitting the victim in the face and kicking her while she is on the floor. The incident has caused intense concern in the local community regarding safety issues and violence against women.
Opportunities for returning to Greece for professionals abroad are offered by the "Rebrain Greece" action (an initiative for the repatriation of scientists), which is scheduled for May 9, 2026, in London. The government is intensifying efforts to attract highly skilled personnel who left the country, providing information on employment opportunities and repatriation prospects.
The government aims to enhance transparency in state services with the creation of a central registry for Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems—systems that simulate human intelligence. This new framework aims for better control over the use of such technologies by the public sector, although pending issues remain regarding the method of supervision and control of these systems.
Finally, new prices for the purchase of Honda motorcycles will take effect from July 1, 2026, according to the company's new price list in Greece. The changes specifically concern the CB1000 GT and CB1000 F models, affecting the acquisition cost for interested buyers in the near future.
