Greece achieved its green energy targets ahead of 2030
Greece has taken a very significant step toward environmental protection and energy autonomy. According to recent statements by the president of IPTO, Manos Manousakis, the country has already managed to reach the targets set for the year 2030 regarding Renewable Energy Sources (RES).
This means that the total installed capacity from solar and wind power in the country is now quite large. Greece is increasingly using solar and wind energy to produce electricity, reducing its dependence on fossil fuels. This development shows that the country is moving very quickly toward the "green transition."
IPTO, the organization responsible for the electricity transmission grid, plays a central role in this effort. Continuous investments in infrastructure and networks are essential so that clean energy can be transported safely and efficiently to every corner of Greece.
This success is considered particularly important for the economy and the environment. Despite the fact that there are still challenges to be addressed, achieving the goals earlier than expected gives hope for a more sustainable future. Greece is now emerging as a leading country in Europe in the field of clean energy.
