New international master's program at the University of Ioannina
The Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Sofia Zacharaki, recently visited the University of Ioannina to announce an important educational initiative. This involves the creation of a new, international joint master's program titled "One Health Education for Global Sustainability."
This specific program focuses on the connection between human, animal, and environmental health, promoting sustainable development on a global level. This collaboration strengthens the international character of the Greek university and offers students modern knowledge that addresses the challenges of our time.
During the presentation, Ms. Zacharaki emphasized that Greece is systematically investing in public universities with the goal of making them more extroverted and innovative. This effort aims to attract students from abroad and enhance the country's academic reputation.
The establishment of the program represents another step toward connecting Greek higher education with the global scientific community. Through initiatives like this, Greek institutions seek to provide young scientists with the appropriate tools for a successful professional career in an international environment.
