Changes and store reductions for H&M in Greece
The well-known clothing company H&M is making significant changes to its operations in the Greek market. In recent years, the company has opted for a more cautious strategy, which includes downsizing its network of stores across the country.
According to available data, the number of H&M stores has decreased noticeably. While the company had 36 points of sale in Greece in 2022, this number dropped to 34 last year, and this trend is continuing during the current period.
In addition to reducing its physical stores, the company is also undergoing internal restructuring. In this context, H&M has reduced its staff, while the appointment of a new head, who will take on the task of guiding the company through this new phase, has also been announced.
These moves reflect changes in consumer habits and the challenges facing the retail sector. The company's management appears to be adjusting its strategy, placing emphasis on a more limited but targeted presence in the Greek market.
