Ukraine's request to Greece for Patriot missiles
The Ukrainian government has submitted an official request to Greece, seeking military assistance to strengthen its defense. Specifically, Kyiv is requesting the dispatch of PAC-2 type missiles, which are used in Patriot air defense systems.
According to reports, the request concerns up to 200 missiles. The Ukrainian side believes that this equipment is necessary to protect the country's infrastructure from ongoing aerial attacks, as the need for defensive resources remains particularly high.
The Greek government is examining the request, taking into account its own defense needs and the operational readiness of the Greek armed forces. The issue of military support for Ukraine is a subject of discussion at both the national and European levels, as our country participates in the efforts of Western allies to support Kyiv.
It is expected that there will be further clarifications regarding Athens' stance in the coming days. The decision will be based on the balance between international solidarity and ensuring Greece's national security.
