Greece on the Path to Space: The Greek Space Tech Forum 2026
Greece is taking significant steps in the field of space technology, paving the way for the Greek Space Tech Forum 2026. This event is expected to serve as a central meeting point for technology and innovation in our country, demonstrating that space is no longer a distant goal for the Greek scientific community.
Athanasios Potsis, one of the leading representatives of the sector, describes this journey as a transition from "Mission Impossible" to "Space Technology Made in Greece." This means that Greece is no longer a mere spectator of developments but is beginning to create its own technology, which can be used internationally and compete with major foreign companies.
Leading representatives of the Greek government, public administration, and other institutional bodies will participate in the forum. Their presence underscores the importance the state places on strengthening the domestic industry and creating a robust framework for space activities, which are now considered essential for the modern economy.
The development of this sector is expected to bring many benefits to the Greek economy and society. New jobs are being created for young scientists and engineers, while cooperation between universities and private enterprises is simultaneously encouraged. The expertise gained from space can often be applied to other sectors, such as telecommunications and environmental protection.
In conclusion, the Greek Space Tech Forum 2026 represents a major opportunity to showcase Greek capabilities in the high-tech sector. With the right support and strategy, Greece can secure a notable position in the global space technology market in the coming years.
