Prolonged heatwave coming to Greece with temperatures up to 42 degrees
Our country is preparing for an intense heatwave expected to last for several days. According to meteorologists' forecasts, temperatures will rise significantly, causing intense heat conditions in many parts of Greece.
Maximum temperatures during the day are expected to range between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius. However, in some areas, the mercury may rise even further, locally reaching 41 or even 42 degrees Celsius.
Authorities are warning citizens about heat stress, as high temperatures can affect health, especially that of vulnerable population groups. It is recommended to avoid exposure to the sun during midday hours and to consume plenty of fluids.
Experts are closely monitoring the evolution of weather phenomena to determine the most difficult days of the heatwave. At the same time, there is keen interest in updates regarding when the gradual drop in temperature will begin and a return to more normal levels for the season.
