New organizational design for the Hellenic Police
The Hellenic Police is proceeding with significant changes to its structure, aiming for better organization and more effective operation throughout the country. These changes involve the creation of a new strategic organizational core that will coordinate the actions of police forces.
According to official announcements, this new mechanism consists of 596 experienced officers. These personnel have been selected to take on critical roles and implement the new operational plan, which will cover the entire Greek territory geographically.
The main goal of this initiative is to enhance citizen safety and improve the police's response time to daily incidents. Through central guidance, the authorities hope to achieve better coordination between local departments and central services.
The implementation of this plan is part of a broader effort to modernize security forces in Greece. The relevant authorities emphasize that the new structure will allow for better management of the police's human resources and assets.
The changes are expected to come into full effect in the near future, as the selected officers will immediately assume their duties. The leadership of the Hellenic Police is closely monitoring the progress of the project, with the aim of upgrading the services provided to society.
