Design of new water retention systems begins in several regions of Hungary
Important developments are starting in Hungary's water management, aimed at protecting arable land and the environment. According to government plans, the design of new water retention systems will begin from Szigetköz all the way to the Nyírség region, so that we can manage precipitation and water resources more effectively.
The Homokhátság region is one of the priority locations for the project, where water scarcity has caused serious problems for agriculture for many years. According to the plans, with the involvement of Turbo Tech Hungary Kft., water collection capabilities will be improved in the Tiszaalpár area, which may help stabilize the soil's water balance.
Experts are also paying special attention to saving the Hajdúhátság region. The goal of the program launched in the area is to prevent rainwater from flowing away quickly, keeping it in the landscape instead, thereby ensuring the moisture necessary for crop production even during drier periods.
These investments not only support the work of farmers but also protect against the effects of climate change. The construction of water retention systems could offer a long-term solution for the renewal of the country's drought-prone areas and the preservation of natural habitats.
