Change in OTP Bank's mobile application: the 'Money Jar' feature is being discontinued
OTP Bank has informed its customers of an important change. The financial institution announced that the popular "Money Jar" (Persely) feature available in its mobile application will no longer be available in the future. The decision affects customers who have used this option to manage their savings.
The essence of the Money Jar feature was that customers could set aside money for specific purposes within their accounts. Users could create up to five such virtual jars at a time, to which they could transfer funds on a regular or ad-hoc basis. This solution made it easier for many to plan their expenses and savings.
According to the bank's information, the phasing out of the feature will be gradual. Users are advised to transfer the funds stored in their Money Jars back to their main accounts in a timely manner so that their money remains freely available. According to banking experts, the decision is related to the development of digital services and the modernization of the system.
The bank has sent a separate notification to the affected customers about the changes, providing detailed instructions on what needs to be done. Although the Money Jar feature is being discontinued, OTP Bank indicated that it intends to assist customers with their financial planning through new savings solutions in the future.
