Iváncsa battery plant tightens occupational safety rules
The management of the Iváncsa battery plant has announced significant changes after authorities imposed a fine of hundreds of millions of forints on the company. In a statement, the Korean-owned firm announced that it will introduce much stricter occupational safety regulations on the plant's premises in the future.
The decision follows the discovery of shortcomings in the factory's operations during occupational safety inspections. The authorities decided on the high fine because the violation of safety rules endangered the physical well-being of the workers. The company's management acknowledged its responsibility and promised to resolve the issues quickly.
Company representatives emphasized that they will place greater emphasis on employee training and the inspection of safety equipment in the future. The goal of the new measures is for the factory to comply with Hungarian occupational safety laws and to prevent similar accidents or regulatory violations.
The Iváncsa plant is one of Hungary's largest industrial investments, providing jobs for many people in the region. For this reason, creating a safe working environment is a priority issue not only for the authorities but also for the local community.
The authorities have indicated that they will continuously monitor the factory's operations in the coming months. The goal is for the company to comply with regulations in the future and ensure safe conditions for all its employees.
