Pro Urbe awards presented on August 20th
On August 20th, the holiday commemorating the foundation of the state, a ceremonial meeting of the representative body was held at City Hall. A special part of the event was the presentation of the prestigious Pro Urbe award, with which the city recognizes outstanding work performed for the community.
This year, two individuals received the honor. The award was presented to Dr. Kismarton and Pál-Levente Tibori at the ceremony held in the city's ceremonial hall.
The Pro Urbe award is granted each year to those who, through their professional work or voluntary activities, have significantly contributed to the development and reputation of the city. The work of the recipients serves as an example for the local community.
The ceremony provided a fitting framework for the national holiday, where the city leadership expressed their gratitude to the awardees for their dedicated efforts to date. The event was attended by representatives of the city's public life as well as the relatives of the recipients.
