Telex is nine years old: the latest transparency report has been published
The Telex news portal recently published its ninth transparency report. The purpose of the document is for the editorial team to present its operations, revenues, and the processes that ensure its independence to its readers. For years, the portal has placed great emphasis on making its financial sources and editorial operations publicly available.
The transparency report reveals that Telex's operations continue to rest on multiple pillars. A significant portion of its revenue comes from reader support, advertising, and income from various services. The editorial team highlights that community funding is key to maintaining independent journalism, as it allows the publication to avoid dependence on any single external benefactor or political actor.
The report also details the size of the editorial staff and internal processes. The Telex team has grown significantly over the past nine years and is now considered one of the largest independent news portals in Hungary. Furthermore, the document presents the ethical guidelines that journalists follow in their daily work, thereby ensuring the accuracy and objectivity of their reporting.
Telex management emphasized that transparency is not just a chosen value, but the foundation of trust. According to the editorial team, it is particularly important in the Hungarian media market for readers to have a clear picture of who is behind the news and what economic background secures the editorial board's independence.
The full report is available to anyone on the portal's website. The publication of the document also marks a milestone in the life of the publication, as Telex celebrates its ninth anniversary while remaining committed to credible and independent reporting.
