Official inspections at the BYD factory construction site in Szeged
The construction of the BYD factory in Szeged has been the focus of several official investigations in recent times. Since the commencement of work, authorities have conducted a total of 33 employment supervision inspections and 14 occupational safety inspections at the site.
During the investigations, the authorities uncovered several irregularities, which necessitated strict measures. According to the latest data, the work of nearly six hundred employees at the construction site has been suspended as a result of the inspections.
The goal of such investigations by the authorities is to ensure lawful working conditions and compliance with safety regulations. The Szeged investment is one of Hungary's largest industrial projects, which is why adherence to the rules is of paramount importance to the authorities.
Representatives of BYD have not yet provided detailed information regarding the exact reasons for the suspensions, but cooperation with the authorities is ongoing. Further inspections are expected to take place in the future to ensure that the project can continue in accordance with legal requirements.
