Hungarian haulers urge immediate government consultation
NiT Hungary, the National Association of Private Haulers, has officially initiated negotiations with the government. According to the organization, Hungarian haulage businesses have found themselves in an extremely difficult situation due to the economic changes of the recent period.
The biggest problem for haulers is the continuously rising costs. The professional organization highlighted that the increase in road tolls, as well as the unpredictable fluctuation of fuel prices, places a serious burden on transport companies, which threatens the operation of these businesses.
According to NiT Hungary, rapid action is essential to manage the current cost crisis. Haulers expect the government to work with them to find a solution to maintain competitiveness, as companies can no longer pass on the increased expenses to their clients.
The industry association emphasized that a stable transport sector is key to the Hungarian economy. If a quick agreement is not reached with the government, haulers believe that further difficulties and an increase in the cost of services can be expected in the country.
In the coming weeks, it is expected to be revealed when government representatives and the professional organizations of haulers will be able to sit down at the negotiating table to resolve the crisis situation.
